The company has launched a new platform-NU_IQ .The NU_IQ is Mahindra’s new modular, multi-energy platform, designed to accommodate petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains, along with front-wheel-drive, all-wheel-drive, left-hand-drive, and right-hand-drive configurations.

As per the statement by the company, the NU_IQ aims to “free customers from compromises”.The 4 concepts of SUV’s co-developed by the Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS) in Mumbai and Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) in Banbury, UK, embody Mahindra’s evolved HEARTCORE design philosophy.

Design & Platform

  1. Based on Mahindra’s new NU_IQ modular, multi-energy platform, supporting ICE (petrol/diesel), hybrid, and electric powertrains.
  2. Boxy SUV silhouette with rugged elements like chunky wheel arches, off-road tyres, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.
  3. Vertical LED DRLs, exposed tow hooks (yellow), and C-pillar-mounted rear door handles.

Interior & Tech

  1. Minimalist dashboard with a dual-tone theme, 3-spoke steering wheel, and a vertical touchscreen.
  2.  NU_UX tech interface, digital driver’s display, and a starter button on the steering wheel.
  3. 5-seater layout with durable materials.

  1. NU_IQ platform supports FWD/AWD configurations and multiple powertrains.
  2. Off-road capabilities include class-leading approach/departure angles and penta-link rear suspension.

Expected launch: January 2028 (India) with an exclusive price of 12.5–20 lakh (ex-showroom).The company is targeting  both Indian and international markets (LHD/RHD compatibility).
